Overview

Slat & Chain Conveyors built to your application

Heavy final assembly cannot work with operators walking around a stationary machine. A slat or chain floor conveyor moves the assembly past stations at a steady pace, so work content is balanced, material is presented at the right point and output becomes predictable.

These conveyors are civil-engineering-adjacent: they need pit or floor-level design, structural calculation, drive sizing with safety factors and proper access for maintenance. We handle the engineering, the build and the installation as one scope.

Variants

Types of slat & chain conveyors we build

Slat conveyor

Continuous slat surface for vehicle and equipment final assembly.

Skillet conveyor

Platforms that carry both product and operator, with lift for ergonomics.

Chain floor conveyor

Floor-level chain drag for heavy frames and chassis.

Tow line

Trolleys towed through assembly and finishing areas.

FAQ

Slat & Chain Conveyors: common questions

Do we need a pit for a slat conveyor?

Not always. Surface-mounted designs with ramps work in many plants; a pit gives a flush floor and better ergonomics. We advise based on your building, load and budget.

How fast do these lines run?

Final assembly conveyors typically run at creep speed calculated from takt time and station length — often a few metres per minute — or index between stations.

Can it be installed without stopping production?

Installation is usually phased into shutdown windows and weekends, with the structure pre-built and tested before it reaches site.
